Progressive brand building: The UNDP at TUC

June 22, 2017

We have produced original, effective design for a number of prominent organisations over the years, and wherever possible have incorporated our own progressive philosophies into our work. Recently, however, a new client has taken us to the ultimate in professional preservation – the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of The United Nations Development Programme.

Our first design produced specifically for a South American audience is for an enormous social-housing project in Brazil; being built in conjunction with, and integrating the philosophies of the renowned, Nobel Peace Prize winning organisation.

Since 2015, The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have been embodying a list of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – a range of progressive philosophies, targets, and ambitions that aim to eradicate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by the year 2030.

They are currently on the ground and delivering their message in around 170 countries, worldwide, helping local projects develop the policies, skills, and partnerships that they need to sustain the progress, and success of their projects. By integrating the 17 SDGS into working practice, a global way of thinking and working can be achieved that future-proofs a project as it develops.

The scope of the 17 SDGs is certainly a global one – the initiative is not only to bring developing countries up to speed with the rest of the world, it is ensuring that issues of inequality, the quality of education, climate action – to name but a few – become universal, everyday concepts by which we live our lives.

The Unknown Creative are honoured to be associated with this world-leading initiative, and are not only looking forward to our latest project being delivered to its target audience, but continuing to to work with the progressive ethos of the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals in all of our work.
