£100k raised for women’s cancers? Check! That’s what our clients over at Saks UK have managed to do – and in just over two years! Having started their partnership with the Eve Appeal, in February 2015.The Saks team have since ran, leapt, trimmed, waxed, raffled, and come up with an entire cornucopia of creative ways to raise funds for the cause.
Naturally, it’s been hard to miss Saks’ progress over the months. No £ raised towards their target has gone unnoticed, as they have kept their UK-wide customer-base frequently updated with progress, via social media and a through range of in-salon, fundraising entertainment. Supported by customers, suppliers, friends and family, they have received special thanks directly from The Eve Appeal in smashing their target. The Eve Appeal is the only national charity in the UK currently raising awareness and funding research into the five female gynaecological cancers.
The Unknown Creative became involved with Saks’ positive work when we were engaged to create their range of promotional social banners, as well as the vibrant ‘Totaliser’ image (which has been relentlessly filling throughout the campaign!). Having worked with Saks for a number of years, on a wide range of their cool, creative communication projects, we were delighted to help out – none more so than when we added the last 5k to the Totaliser at the end of last week!
While the real value of Saks’ work over the last couple of years is absolutely priceless, it has been a pleasure to see their progress, as salon after salon went above and beyond expectations to raise the cash. They are still very much active in supporting Eve – in both raising awareness and funds – so how far the overspill of the Totaliser will reach is anyone’s guess!
