Transport for London have received a prestigious award for Innovation in Construction Logistics Policies, presented at the CIVITAS Urban Freight conference in Brussels. 

Launched by the EU Commission, CIVITAS is a network of cities dedicated to cleaner, better transport in Europe and beyond. The award recognises TfL’s Construction Logistics Programme – launched just last year – for its ambitious, innovative and successful efforts in the field of sustainable urban mobility.

Now recognised for these industry-leading qualities, the ambition to create change in the sector was part of our inspiration as we created their vibrant, original brand identity, and designed and developed the Construction Logistics websitelast year.

The Construction Logistics logo represents the many complex routes and models that go into programme. Travel by road, rail, freight and by water, along with air quality and road congestion in London, are all aspects of the programme. Communicated in the logo design by six lively colours, all merging to form a single spire-structure, we see the progressive construction vision of the organisation coming to life.

Accompanied by clean, contemporary typography, and a suite of original graphics, the brand identity and Construction Logistics Programme were launched last summer. By the end of February this year, the programme had accredited its 100th Logistics Planning Practitioner.

Upon receiving its latest accolade, from CIVITAS, the programme will now be showcased as an example of excellence and inspiration for European cities who share this vision.
